Privacy Policy

ArborCraft Pro ("we," "us," or "our") operates the ArborCraft Pro mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). Arborist accounts may also provide business name, address, and website.

Phone number. Crew members provide a phone number to log in. We use this to send a one-time verification code (OTP) via SMS for authentication purposes only.

Location and property data. Arborists and estimators may enter GPS coordinates, property addresses, and tree survey data (species, dimensions, condition, work type) as part of their normal use of the Service.

Usage data. We collect standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, device type) for security and operational purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity and maintain your session
To send one-time SMS verification codes when you log in (crew members)
To display your tree surveys, job assignments, and reports
To generate shareable tree survey reports for your clients
To integrate with third-party services you authorize (e.g., Jobber)
To improve the reliability and performance of the Service

3. SMS Communications

      By entering your phone number and requesting a login code, you consent to receive a single SMS containing a one-time verification code. Message and data rates may apply. You will only receive a message when you explicitly request one. We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your information is never used for advertising or shared with data brokers.

We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

SMS delivery. We use Twilio to deliver one-time verification codes via SMS. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely for OTP delivery and is not used for any other purpose. Twilio's privacy policy is available at twilio.com/legal/privacy.
Jobber integration. If you connect your Jobber account, data you explicitly choose to sync (quotes, client information) is shared with Jobber under your authorization only.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

Under no circumstances do we share your data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than those listed above.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Tree survey data is retained until you delete it. SMS verification codes expire within 10 minutes and are deleted after use. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and rate limiting. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

ArborCraft Pro is intended for use by professional arborists and tree care businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

8. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time within the app or by contacting us. Crew members may request removal from a company's crew by contacting their crew manager or reaching out to us directly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
